The Call of Duty Black Ops teaser trailer was released recently and looks very appealing, although very confusing. Black Ops was created by TreyArch who also created Call of Duty 1-3 and Call of Duty World at War. Through further examination and research the game was found to take place in 2010. What can be understood from this trailer is that the fighting is in both modern times and in the Vietnam or early Cold War eras. Upon further examination one can see that there are many factions such as the Russians, Vietnamese, and of course the Americans. There seems to be the point of view of an airplane crash, a chopper flying for a part of the game, and of course, in the beginning of the game, torture of the character. Part of the game also takes place in space as well.

Some gamers may not trust this trailer for what it shows because of how World at War was done by TreyArch. Matt Bason agrees with this, he stated,” World at War wasn’t as hot but seeing how they made that game, they’ll make this one better”. Many gamers that have played recent TreyArch games complain about lack of quality. Black Ops may just be the game for TreyArch to redeem themselves. Austin Bortel claimed ” I like TreyArch’s games they look cool. Overall it should be pretty good.” Jake Howard also thinks it’ll turn out well, he replied, “It’ll be decent. TreyArch used the same engine as the one in Modern Warfare 2.” It seems many people are looking forward to this game which will be released November 9, 2010. Gamers will find out more from trailers to come.
