12 Year Old Wins Cash Prize at PBA Tour Event

Last Sunday, May 9th, at a PBA Open Regional bowling tournament in Canton, Georgia, all eyes were on a sixth grader from Brentwood, Tennessee. Kamron Doyle took home a cash prize of $400 after the Open Regional tournament.
With this cash prize, Doyle becomes the youngest player in PBA history to cash in any PBA event. Out of a 94-player field Doyle finished 30th overall. Attending this tournament were many top regional and national players around the country.
Instead of spending the cash prize, Doyle plans on depositing the $400 into a scholarship fund. This fund will help him pay for one of the universities he would like to attend.
The two universities Doyle hopes to get a scholarship from are Wichita State and Weber State. He would like to attend these schools because of their prestigous bowling squads. After college, Doyle hopes to enter the PBA tour and become one of the best bowlers in the country.
Interesting enough, Doyle got hooked on bowling when he attended one of his friend’s birthday parties when he was seven-years old. After that, Doyle couldn’t keep his mind off of the bowling alley.
